Not Today! A Talk about the Coronavirus
"Because thou hast made the Lord...thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling". - Psa;m 91:9-10.
I want to share with you for just a moment about the Coronavirus. This topic has been discussed nonstop for several weeks now. Many people are filled with fear and panic. Fear and panic is certainly not the answer. Reacting in panic is not an effecrive response. For 2 Timothy 1:7 states that "God has not given us the spirit of fear!"Embrace FaithI want to encourage you to rebuke fear and to embrace faith. I would like for you to strongly believe the promises of God. He also promised that "no evil will befall" you and that no plague will come near your dwelling.I am amazed how the world system has responded to this virus. People running around stocking up on toilet paper and other things. I want to encourage you to use your head and listen to what health officials have to say, but most of all lean on the Word of God and his promise found in Psalms 91.Strong FaithPeter in the New Testament wrote that Christians are shielded by the faith and power of God (2 Peter 1:3-4). I..., well..., we have divine promises to lean on and to claim. (and I do claim them!) It takes great faith to really believe like Father Abraham did. If he believed in his old age that he would have a heir. You certainly can have faith that this virus will pass you by.
I say...I rejoice in the fact that God's Kingdom is a stable and healthy Kingdom. As sons and daughters of God, we are members of a stable Kingdom. This Kingdom cannot be moved. It is solid and stable through whatever may come. Jesus said, " If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed," you can move mountains. Speak to your mountain. If you have built your life upon "this rock" (God's Word) you will survive any storm, but those who have built their lives on sinking sand will usually suffer in times like these. If you have built your life on the unmovable Word of God, you can be sure of a solid foundation that will hold you up and keep you even in difficult times like these.Rebuke FearIf you are worried about the economy or catching the virus. This is fear talking. I want you to rebuke fear and embrace the Faith of God. Again, the Bible promises, "No evil will befall you, neither will any plague come near your dwelling." (Psalm 91:10) In the name of Jesus, I urge you to open your mouth and speak to your mountain! We are here for you. If you want or need prayer submit your request at: vtm9858@gmail.com

Love Changes Things
You may not know it, but when you gave your life to Jesus, all the fruit of the Spirit were planted inside you in seed form. Through the Spirit you can experience joy and peace in every circumstance, no matter how difficult or painful.
You may not be a naturally patient person, but you can call on the Spirit within to produce patience. If you’re battling unhealthy behaviors, like an addiction or some kind of bad habit, the Holy Spirit can give you the ability to resist the devil and make healthy choices.
Apostle Paul said: When we were controlled by our old nature, sinful desires were at work within us, and the law aroused these evil desires that produced a harvest of sinful deeds, resulting in spiritual death. But now we have been released from the law, for we died spiritually to it and are no longer captive by its power.
Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit by Faith. (Romans 7:5-6 NLT)
On your own, it would be impossible to serve only God. But when you operate in the Spirit, you have a supernatural ability to overcome everything. The more you draw near to Go by praying and reflecting on His Word, the more you will experience the fruit of the Spirit in your life. But where should you start?
Love, Love and More Love
“ How do you love your neighbor? First, you must learn to receive God’s love for yourself. Until then, you can’t truly love anyone else. You may do all the right things, but your motivation will be all wrong. ”
All the fruit of the Spirit are held in place by love. Jesus said that loving God and other people is the most important commandment. You see, “You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” He added, “A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’” (Matthew 22:39).How do you love your neighbor? First, you must learn to receive God’s love for yourself. Until then, you can’t truly love anyone else. You may do all the right things, but your motivation will be all wrong. And God isn’t nearly as concerned about what we do as He is about the attitudes of our hearts (see 1 Thessalonians 2:4). For a long time, my heart was a mess. For many years I had been verbally abused by my family. Then I married a man also abused me verbally and emotionally. By the time I got out of the marriage, I couldn’t remember a time in my life when I was happy even though I looked happy on the outside.
My emotional and verbal wounds had made me harsh and short-tempered. I operated purely out of fear. And even though I knew about Christian living, I had not learned how to receive the love of God—the only thing that can heal someone’s sick soul. It wasn’t until I surrendered control and started receiving God’s love that I finally became free. Now I love myself! And I can’t wait to wake up in the morning and be a blessing to someone else. I study love—what it is and how God wants us to express it.
Start Your Journey
God loves you so much, He wants you to experience that same love in your soul. Pray and ask Him to help you be a person who walks in love. Choose to believe the best about people rather than automatically assuming the worst. Study the passages of Scripture that talk about God’s love for you and really get them into your heart by meditating on them. Then, wake up each morning and ask God, “How can I encourage someone today?” "How can I be a blessing to someone, today?"
Don’t wait until you feel like it. Go out and love on purpose. You will be amazed at the joy it releases in your heart and soul! Focus on learning to love as Jesus loved, and I promise you, everything else that's good in your life will follow.
